Streaming Sources Options

The options available in the section For Streaming sources only are NOT available for the default, resources saving AMC-based sources.

Note: Sources that are recorded with the default and less resources hungry AXIS components CANNOT make use of those options.

Videos recorded as WMV files use the AXIS components, videos recorded as MP4 are created by some kin of streaming source (using anything but the Axis Source type).

Show recording indicator in video preview - Activates a blinking text block in the upper right corner, indicating a recording is running or not:

VSP_OverlayPREVIEW
VSP_OverlayREC

Note: This recording state information is NOT visible in the resulting recording.

oImage overlays active - Enables you to ad blurring shapes or insert text into your recording.
The default text shows date and time in the upper left corner of the recording.

Enter your custom text into the overlay text field.

oAllow to mute recording - A Pause-button enables the user to mute a recording, which means that the image is turned of for the time the recording is muted. A black screen appears during replay instead.
Thus the recording is NOT stopped, only painted black.

oShow comment dialog when recording is muted - A comment dialog appears to describe the reason for muting the recording, e.g. 'Client conversation'.

oCreate split screen video - This option is NOT part of the standard VideoSyncPro Studio features and works for up to four camera sources. If activated, VideoSyncPro Studio will create a split-screen video while recording.
This process requires considerable more computer resources.

oSave the original videos as well ensures that the single videos per source are also created.

Confirm your entries by clicking OK.

IMPORTANT: Changes in the Scenario properties are instantly saved in the current Scenario, the moment you confirm your changes with OK.
If you want to create a copy with different settings, you need to select Save Scenario as... from the menu Next Topic and use another name for the new Scenario file.

Note: Original Axis sources require less computer capacities. The streaming sources offer more flexibility. Each Axis IP camera can also be recorded using the streaming technology, but depending on the number of cameras recorded simultaneously, this method might exceed the capacity of your system.
