IMPORTANT: Before you can perform the required configuration steps:
- Login as a VideoSyncPro Administrator.
Change Current User
In the bottom left corner of your VideoSyncPro Window, you can see the name of the current user.
Per default is states:
Logged-in as: Standard user
To gain configuration rights, change the current user:
▪Click the shield icon in the upper right corner, to get to this login dialog:
▪Select Admin from the User type list.
▪Enter a password (default password 'admin') and click Login.
Now you have sufficient rights to configure the recording system and to make changes to all program settings.
NOTE: To permanently start the program with a login window, the default user named Standard user needs to be deleted.Initial Configuration
A Mangold VideoLab is usually preconfigured. The following mandatory steps only point to the relevant topics that describe these steps during a fresh installation on a new computer.
▪Open the Settings dialog using the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the application.
▪On the Network tab, switch to Export mode and select the correct Network card for both the Camera network and the local network, as explained in Configure Network Adapter.
▪In case you own an add-on license for the use of a Media Database and/or the browser-based Checklist functionalities, activate the local HTTP Web server.
When VideoSyncPro Studio starts the very first time, a network selection dialog (solution finder) is displayed so that the network adapter for network communication with the cameras can be selected: |

▪Click Select network to pick the applicable network range, as setup in Configure Network Adapter: ▪Confirm your selection with OK. |

As soon as you selected your camera network, the wizard continues with the source definition, as described in Define Common Sources.
File Storage Settings
Ensure that the selected storage location is pointing to a local drive with enough free disc space.
IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend to record to a local drive only. Even the lightest network hick-up may cause the termination of the video recording without any feedback, resulting in massive data loss.
If you want to store your videos on a NAS, make use of the Temporary recording path in the scenario settings to record locally while automatically moving the recordings to the specified NAS drive afterward.
Per default, the user-specific Videos folder is used as the storage location. You can change the location in the program settings, as is described in Storage Settings.
WARNING: If you decide to record directly on a NAS or other network drive, any loss of data is not our responsibility.
