When using our default portable lab, or if there is no space to run an extra audio cable back to the cameras in a stationary lab, it is possible to capture the audio signal from the network.
For this we use the Axis Audio encoder P8221:
If your setup contains this device, you first need to create a Source for it:
▪Click Create new Source and enter the IP number of the Axis P8221 found in your network into the IP address field.
▪Click Verify to receive the device details automatically:
IMPORTANT: This source itself CANNOT be added to a scenario, but can only be assigned to other Axis Sources as its external audio signal.
Assign Audio Source to Camera Source
▪Select the Axis camera source that should receive its audio signal from this encoder.
▪Select the now available Audio Encoder from the External audio list:
▪Repeat this last step for each Axis camera that should receive its audio signal through the network audio encoder.
▪Confirm your settings by clicking OK.
Now VideoSyncPro Studio is able to insert the audio received by the network audio encoder into the video of the adjusted Axis video sources.
