The scripting abilities in VideoSyncPro Studio allow you to combine a combination of actions.
With an Action Script, you can execute any combination of the following actions while adding pauses in between:
oSend any number of Audio and Video sources to a viewing room
oActivate a certain camera preset per camera
oSet the required audio states for each source
oApplying a preferred Window-Layout stored for the receiving Multimedia Player
oStart a recording with the specified Scenario
oStop a recording
o...
▪Read Scripting Commands for further details.
Each Action script will be available as a single command.
Action Script Availability
Depending on the location where an Action script is stored, its availability can be controlled:
Generic Scripting Menu
oScripts stored on the top-level of this folder are always available from within VideoSyncPro Studio
..\Public\Documents\Mangold VideoSyncPro Studio Data\Scripts
Additionally, this folder contains two dedicated folders name Recording and Debriefing. These folders will hold an automatically generated sub-folder for every Scenario you used, to hold its specific Action Scripts.
The main Scripts folder may also contain additional custom sub-folders to group your personal Action Scripts. Each sub-folder automatically results in a sub-menu underneath the Scripting menu.
Action Scripts Side-Panel
In the Action Scripts side-panel only scripts assigned to the current Scenario appear.
As to the availability of Action Scripts, there is a difference between Recording-mode and Debriefing-Mode for the same Scenario.
oScripts located inside this folder appear only during Recoding:
..\Public\Documents\Mangold VideoSyncPro Studio Data\Scripts\Recording\<My Scenario Name>
oScripts located inside this folder appear only during Debriefing:
..\Public\Documents\Mangold VideoSyncPro Studio Data\Scripts\Debriefing\<My Scenario Name>
Note: Scripts assigned to the current Scenario are also available on the Scripts tab of any connected Remote Observer.
Action Script Examples
Example A: Each session, you need to transfer all 4 cameras plus 3 separate audio sources to a viewing room AND you want to hear the audio from Camera 1 and the 3 audio sources. Instead of sending each camera view separately and manually activating the audio for the mics, you can combine the transfer of all required sources and their audio state into a Script.
Example B: Your observation room has 4 PTZ cameras and 3 different areas. The best camera view for each area is stored in several PTZ presets in your current scenario, so the cameras can be easily positioned.
Per session, your participants move from one area to another to perform specific activities. Students, parents or stakeholders are sitting in a viewing room and want to see what happens in close-up on a big screen in their room.
The therapist decides what is next on an individual base and you have no special operator that controls the recording station during the recording itself.
Whenever another area is used, the therapist must be able to switch camera positions and make sure that the right camera view is displayed in the viewing room.
For this, the existing video(s) in the viewing room must be closed, the required video stream(s) must be send to the viewing room, AND the correct PTZ presets must be selected for the relevant camera(s).
All these steps can be combined in a script per activity and displayed as big buttons on the tablet running Mangold Remote Observer. This way the therapist can do all the required with a single click, discretely when passing the tablet.
