Recording

1. Which audio and video sources can VideoSyncPro Studio record?

VideoSyncPro Studio can record a variety of audio and video sources, including:

oOver 50 Axis camera models

oRegular RTSP network streams

oVarious Panasonic network cameras

oWindows audio/video USB devices (e.g. USB microphones / webcams)

oDevices with HDMI output* (e.g. Apple devices or medical devices)

oASIO audio devices (e.g. Tascam audio mixer)

oAnalog cameras (with a converter)

oDante support for direct access to network audio devices

*Additional hardware may be required for HDMI recording.

2 How can I configure recording scenarios?

VideoSyncPro Studio allows you to create customized recording templates (scenarios) to cover different recording settings. You can:

oManage audio/video sources for use in different scenarios.

oRemotely control cameras with supported camera control protocols (VAPIX, ONVIF, NDI, VISCA, Panasonic CGI, Sony CGI,...).

oCombine any audio and video sources.

oSave user-defined layouts for control panels, video preview windows and audio states per scenario.

oActivate Studio recording mode* to record alternating camera sources in a single video file.

oIdentify configuration errors using an intelligent wizard, even during live operation.

*Studio recording mode requires a separate license.

3. can I synchronize VideoSyncPro Studio with other systems?

Yes, VideoSyncPro Studio offers various options for synchronization with other devices:

oSending trigger signals to other devices for synchronization (e.g. physiological recording systems).

oInitiating external control via UDP commands.

oReceiving UDP-based marker signals from external devices.

oSynchronize multiple VideoSyncPro Studio stations for simultaneous recording of many audio/video sources.

Playback and analysis

4. how can I check and play back recorded videos?

VideoSyncPro Studio enables instant playback of all recordings via the user interface. You can:

oEdit descriptions and metadata after recording.

oSend single or multiple recorded audio/video files to a network player with the Mangold Multimedia Player* software (e.g. for debriefing in a separate room).

*A separate license is required for the Mangold Multimedia Player.

5 What options does VideoSyncPro Studio offer for marking and commenting on videos?

The "Markers, comments & reporting" add-on module offers extensive functions for video analysis:

oConfigure an unlimited number of markers and coding systems of any size.

oUse individual marker symbols and code labels for better understanding.

oImplement hierarchical coding systems.

oLog marker events with a fixed, predefined duration - live and in playback - remotely or locally.

oAdd multi-line annotations during recording (live) and during playback.

oUse external Bluetooth hardware (presenter) as a simple transmitter to log additional markers.

oPosition and monitor the recording(s) based on the marker events and comments during the debriefing.

oEdit the time information for each event individually to specify the exact start and end time per event.

Security and data protection

6. how is my data protected in VideoSyncPro Studio?

VideoSyncPro Studio offers various security functions to protect your data:

oRole-based user authorization system to ensure that only authorized persons can edit the configuration and change recordings.

oOption to connect to an existing Active Directory.

oUser-specific view that allows users to view and edit only their own recordings within the software.

oSecure deletion of recordings when required (up to sevenfold overwriting of data, individually configurable).

oLocal recording and storage on a secure drive using a temporary path, with the recorded data being automatically moved to the target storage at the end of each recording (e.g. to an external USB drive, NAS systems or cloud storage).

oBlocking or activating video transmission via the local network.

oActivation of password protection for remote access with the Mangold Remote Observer.

oAutomatic verification of the authenticity of a recording.

The performance of VideoSyncPro Studio depends on various factors, such as the number of cameras recorded simultaneously, the resolution of the videos and the use of overlays. In general, the more complex the requirements, the higher the required system performance.
