To observe a remote session, the computer that runs our Mangold Remote Observer needs to communicate with your Mangold Recorder over the Network (LAN or WLAN).
If the connection is not established automatically, read the information in Firewall Settings to adapt the required settings.
▪Start the Mangold Remote Observer. The application automatically searches for available Mangold Recorder systems in the network. If only one Mangold Recorder is found, the connection is established instantly - if enough licenses for remote connection are available - unless there is a password* issue. If NO Mangold Recorder can be detected, the upcoming application window looks like this: |

If you are sure there is a Mangold Recorder already running, read LabSuite Network Communication to adapt the required settings so that the device can be found. If you started your Mangold Recorder AFTER you started the Mangold Remote Observer: ▪Click Find Available Recorders and wait until the network scan is completed. |

In case there are multiple Mangold Recorders available: ▪Select the one you want to connect to from the drop-down list. ▪If required, enter a User name and maybe a password in the corresponding fields. ▪Click Connect to connect to the selected Recorder. If a connection was established successfully, the Remote Observer might look like shown in the picture at the left.
Note: When connected to a VideoSyncPro Studio recorder, pay attention to the currently connected session: |
*) The password function is not available for all Mangold Recorder systems if it is available, the function must be activated on the Recorder station.
When connecting to VideoSyncPro Studio, the user information is used to identify all Marker set by that observer.
