To be able to return to previous observations, we need to collect the time information for any observation you make. For typical behavioral observations, the duration is a very important measure, but collecting the exact duration for your type of observations complicates the data collection process.
Thus, to simplify the initial identification and collection of interesting information, we start by removing the duration from your observations.
This means that you 'log' a time-stamp-event whenever something of interest occurs. You can enter whatever information your want for that particular Event. To return to this position in the video, double-clicking the time information is enough. Additional settings enable you watch the sequence around that time.
It is also possible to add a precise duration to any of these time-stamp-events at any time.
Before you can start, we need to configure INTERACT for this type of data collection.

The most intuitiv and fastest way to pin chunks of information to a specific point in time in the video, is using the SPACEBAR without duration:
▪Click Start - Observation - Define Codes
If there are Codes listed, click New to make sure you have an empty Code sheet.
▪Clear the option SPACEBAR is treated as a Code with duration, at the bottom of the dialog:
