It is possible to add descriptive information (that is not logged.) to each Code. This is especially helpful for scale based Codes, but can be used for any other Code as well:
▪Add // behind the actual Code and enter the descriptive information behind it, like this:
The coder sees all text:
But only the value in-front of the two // is entered into your data file.
Standard Attribute
If a specific code always requires another specific Code in a separate Class (for example you want to rate and work with a Code like 'Very good' but also want to have a numbered representation of this Code, like '1' in the same Event line), assigning the same [key] to both Codes within the same Code definition file might do the trick.
▪Read Log Multiple Codes with one Keystroke for further details.
Additional Attributes
If coding a specific Code requires a bunch of additional information into the same Event line, spread over multiple classes, like for each student you'd need to add the grade and desk number, try working with Attribute Codes.
