This document is for everyone that likes to use, install or configure INTERACT.
We assume that you are familiar with the basics of working on a Windows environment and its applications.
For some operations, we might also presume that you are familiar with the basics of your other Mangold products. For information about those applications, refer to the corresponding user documentation.
This online documentation of INTERACT reflects the functionality available in version 21.

Thank you for using INTERACT. INTERACT is a professional and flexible analysis tool, that collects, manages, analyzes, and visualizes any kind of observational data.
INTERACT offers extremely flexible and easy to handle data logging methods, to collect behavioral data of any kind. It also offers a huge range of statistics and graphs.
Throughout all instructions, we assume that you are familiar with the basics of working on a Windows or Apple computer and its applications.
All video and audio recordings are referred to as 'multimedia'.
The most important functionalities can be found in the following sections:
Introduction - The very basic idea of working with INTERACT is described in Introduction to INTERACT. |
Coding system - Detailed information about assigning Observation Codes, the use and definition of Classes and the specifics of an INTERACT Code Archive is described in Implement your coding system. |
Observations - The differences between the available Coding methods and how to use them is explained in the section START YOUR OBSERVATIONS. |
Select, sort and edit behavioral data - Diverse functionalities for data manipulation, like 'search & replace', 'copy & paste', 'sort behavioral data', 'create reports' and many more are collected in the section Select, Sort & Edit Logged Data |
Statistics & export - A multitude of analysis, visualization and export routines can be found in the section Analysis with INTERACT |
Restructure data files - If your original structure of your documents does not allow you to extract the required statistical results, you can find various possibilities of how you can merge data files and Events, move Codes etc. in the section STRUCTURE data files |
