Find Overlapping Events

If you are looking for co-occurrences, INTERACT offers the following routines:

Arrow-Right-OrangeTrim on Code Filter - Available within the Timeline Chart. Enables you to identify what else happened during all occurrences of a specific Code. This gives you an overview of all Codes that have been coded simultaneously with the selected Code at some point.

Read Trim on Code filter for details.

Arrow-Right-OrangeState-Space-Grid - Designed to visualize interactions, it also offers an instant view and corresponding statistics of the all co-occurrences within TWO Classes.

Read State-Space-Grid for further details.

Arrow-Right-OrangeCo-occurrence Filter - Available on the Analysis tab. Creates new Events for all situations were a specific combination of Codes was coded simultaneously.
This is helpful for identifying complex situations that rely on a combination of single behaviors, like 'eye contact', 'smile at each other', or 'joint attention'.
Events created with this routine, are available in all statistics, like any manually logged Event.

Read Co-occurrence Filter for details.

Arrow-Right-OrangePattern Segmentation - Available on the Transform tab. This routine is only applied to the Events for the selected Codes. The routine works best on mutually exclusive Codes per Class.
In that case, it creates a new file with sequential Events, with each Event representing the combination of Codes that overlap in time. If that combination changes, a new Event is created.
