<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Adjust Time Values > Fixed DataSet Duration > Prevent Update of Time Borders |
Note: The Timeline Chart only displays behavioral data with a time code WITHIN those DataSet boundaries.
If you explicitly want to define the duration of a DataSet (as the example in Adjust DataSet Time Borders describes) manually, you no longer want INTERACT to update the DataSet time borders.
You can deactivate the update routine for specific files, while the overall examination remains enabled for all other files.
Do not update Time Borders
If the DataSet time values, of a certain document, need to be kept at all times, and you want to make surethey are not overwritten by mistake, you can tell INTERACT not to examine the DataSet borders of this specific data file at all:
▪Click Start - Current Document - Properties , to open the 'File properties' dialog.
▪Clear the Update DataSet time boundaries check box.
▪Click OK to confirm your settings.
Now INTERACT no longer examines the DataSet time boundaries for this data file at all.
TAKE CARE: Once this option is disabled, INTERACT no longer examines the DataSet time information for this data file.
This can result in incomplete statistical calculations, if you do not take care that all DataSet start time and offset time values cover the sub-ordered Events you need!
TIP: | If you use this setting throughout your study, setup a Template in which this setting is stored. See Work with Templates for details. |
