INTERACT allows you, to easily switch between different coding systems, if needed.
Open Code definitions
If you or your team members work with more than one set of Code definitions, you can switch between definitions, by opening them manually.
▪Click Start - Observation - Define Codes , to open the Code Definitions dialog.
▪Click Open to open an existing Code definition file.
▪Select the required Codes in the upcoming 'Open file' dialog and click Open.
Save Code definitions
You can save your code definition files anywhere you like. If you have multiple files that are linked, using the lexical chain functionality, you need to make sure all linked files are stored in the same folder. To save the currently opened Code definitions:
▪Click on the button in the "Code definitions" dialog
or
▪Choose File - save as... to save the current definitions into a new file.
TIP: | If you have more than one Code definition file, using lexical chains, create a sub folder to group all files that belong together. This makes it easier to keep track of different setups. |
