Whenever you hook up to a LogSquare Recorder, the available functionality depends on the setup on the participant PC.
Control
On the Control tab you can Start and Stop a recording.
If you make use of the Task-management facilities of LogSquare (selected a Scenario file* with predefined Tasks on the participant PC), the Control tab of the Mangold Remote Observer also offers these buttons:
oStart Task - To start a task manually.
oTask Success - To end a task and lable it as completed successfully.
oTask Failure - To end a task and lable it as failed.
oTask Abort - To end a task and lable it as aborted.
Markers
On the Markers tab, the observer can log Marker(s) to label specific situations during the recording and to enter Comments and send Chat messages to the participant.
If the selected Scenario file* holds predefined Observer Codes the Markers tab of the Mangold Remote Observer lists the available Codes.
*) Read the LogSquare documentation to learn about the Taskmanagement functionality and how to create your specific scenario file.
Those logging functions are only available if a recording session is running.
Video
When on the LogSquare Recorder screen sharing is enabled, the windows-based version can call the video stream of the current LogSquare Recorder session and display the current screen content in a separate Remote Viewer window.
