Typical data collection in INTERACT creates new Events as you go.
For those who want to extend the information for previously logged Events or users who need to use predefined intervals for the collection of specific information, creating new Events is not what you want.
There are multiple ways entering information into existing Event-lines:
Coding Mode Refine Existing Events - This is the classical method to log Codes in predefined Events. You can use any existing Coding System and log your codes using the Coding panel and/or short cut keys. |
Manually - As always, you can still enter expressions into a line manually. In combination with the Drop-Down Editor, you even no longer need to retype the same information multiple times. |
Using the Drop-Down Editor - Introduced in V20. If the information is already available in other Events, activating the Drop-down-list allows you to select those entries from the list. |
Using the Code Archive - This method is introduced in V20. It enables you to drag (re-arranged) Codes from the Coding Archive directly into an existing Event line. |
